SUMMARY:Ålesund Improfestival 2024: Workshop: Acting for improvisers
DESCRIPTION:Ever wanted to condense three years of drama school training into just six hours? Now’s your chance! Join us for an intensive and transformative workshop with the talented Lisa Lynn, where you’ll gain essential tools to elevate your improvisation and acting skills to a professional level. \n Workshop Highlights:Voice Mastery: Learn to safely project your voice, enhance your annunciation, diction, and inflection. Explore the use of accents and pacing to fully control what your voice communicates when you do speak.\n Physicality & Character Creation: Discover how to control your body to create distinct characters. Master the use of physicality to convey emotion and intention, even before saying a word.\n Utilizing Space: Dive into the art of storytelling through movement. Learn to use levels, proxemics, and mime skills (spacework) to communicate complex narratives without uttering a single word.\n Stagecraft Essentials: Get acquainted with the correct names for different parts of the stage and the importance of spatial awareness. And, of course, understand the golden rule – never turn your back on the audience!\nWhether you’re a seasoned performer or new to the stage, this workshop will provide you with everything you need to know to act like a pro! Lisa Lynn will guide you through practical exercises and tips that will immediately improve your performance in every aspect of theater. \nJoin us for this immersive experience and take your improvisation and acting skills to the next level with Kaula Improteater\nThe workshop will be in English \nWe at Kaula would like to thank our sponsors: Ålesund kommune, Møre og Romsdal Fylkeskommune, Sparebanken Møre and Kulturrådet \n
